Gillian Melia

Growing up surrounded by the beauty of Northern California, an effortless love for nature and the natural world guided Gillian towards a career integrating her passions of herbal healing, nutrition, movement and deep personal growth. The sentiment "there's no place like home" rings true in her work today as she draws from experiences that connect her to the land she calls home while being able to support clients in locating the places within them that seek connection to their greater vision. 

Gillian began her health studies formally while living in New York City. She has studied extensively with three master herbalists including a three year herbal apprenticeship program in NYC.  In addition to her herbal studies, she completed a nutrition program focusing on holistic approaches to living, food allergies/intolerances, weight loss and numerous other dietary theories. Gillian is also a graduate of the ECornell plant based nutrition program focusing on eating a plant based diet and draws from the scientific research on the benefits of a less animal based diet when working with clients.  Gillian often incorporates theory from her yoga practice of 20 years as well as experience as a yoga teacher to bring ideas of mindfulness, breath and presence to her clients everyday life. In addition to the variety of tools that are incorporated into work with her clients, she also teaches kickboxing privately and in small group settings in order to help others reach their health goals.

She teaches workshops, hosts herbal women circles, has an herbal product line, Rader's Remedies, and works with clients one on one. Focusing on nutrition and diet with an emphasis on plant based, whole foods eating habits, in addition to an overall holistic approach her clients see results and do so while also enjoying the process. Gillian's passion and experience in the health field as an integrative health educator have supported countless people along their journeys. She empowers others to become their own health advocates while playing an active role in their journey of health and wellness.
